Hmmm, how do I say this without sounding like an ass.
Video is so humbling. That video of RK is good, but nothing mindblowing. I kind of watch it and think to myself, "Damn, I think thats pretty much how I'd be surfing in those waves."
I've seen RK surf in person, numerous times, and have always been blown away at how smooth he really is and how well he links everything.
Then I realize, If RK is looking pretty good, but not mindblowing, then I must really suck.
Brown- I know exactly what you mean. He is obviously good. I imagine myself to be surfing like him, so I must obviously, disappointingly, undeniably be surfing not like him and thus, only decently.
