My friend, Sei in Japan, a fellow fish lover, sent me this pic as consolation for my recent stolen board. This is an unknown OB surfer (Pendarvis himself?) with a Pendo-Lis hybrid. I have a board on order from Steve. Maybe I could see how one of these rides firsthand? Please keep an eye out for my lost board! Thanks!

That's not Pendarvis, but it looks like Cher in the background. I used to see this guy at Luscomb's a lot, but I don't really surf there much these days.

He isn't shaping a lot right now. You have to know somebody or get lucky. I am not in a position to offer a hook up. I did find a Lis on Craigslist last summer for $500. Sometimes you're lucky! Right now I have only one Lis- and it got torn up on the rocks at a baja point. I can't wait until my next comes down the line. But wait I shall...
JB- Thanks for the info. Cher is a pretty good artist, is she not? I've never surfed vista azure much- I prefer the open space of various beachbreak lineups. Where are your haunts?
Well, my haunts these days tend to be more La Jolla, N. County spots, but I grew up in PL. In those days it always depended on time of year, tide, etc. So, it was either the beach (misc. OB) or various Cliffs spots depending on time of year. We surfed Luscombs a lot because I lived right up the hill from there, it was convenient, and it is a fun wave.
